The End

What a lovely way to end an otherwise crappy day – a half decent book and a delicious cup of tea!

  1. I might give that one a go I think. I found Oscar and Lucinda to be a bit slow to start, but in the end I really enjoyed it. I think my favourite aspect of the book though, was the parts that took place actually in Sydney. It liked trying to imagine each location in my head and what it would actually look like now.

  2. I loved this book and much of what Peter Carey writes, there have been a few misses, but overall, I think he’s great, I especially loved Jack Maggs for some reason, not even realising at the time I read it that it is a take on Dicken’s Great Expectations.
