Book vs Film: ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’

One of the tasks in the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge was to read a book that had been adapted into a film, and then watch the film! As I was already doing a reread of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I thought I’d use it as an excuse for a rewatch of the film adaptation (like I needed one). The Goblet of Fire is my absolute favourite of all the Harry Potter books and it had been a while since I’d watched the film. So long, in fact, that I’d forgotten how very different the two were and I am now reminded of why so many people dislike this adaptation so much. There are lots of differences and I could have written the longest post ever about it, but I decided to just pick a few things. Below is my very first Piktochart! My 10 Favourite Book Characters On Screen

A few days ago I was tagged in a blog hop by Lisa Hope. Lisa’s post was about her ten favourite screen characters. Unfortunately I watch more tv and movies than I should and as a result of this, I have too many favourite characters. Therefore it is a nigh on impossible task to whittle them down to ten. So I thought I’d tweak it a bit and narrow down the scope to my ten favourite book characters to be brought to life on the screen. This is probably the toughest thing I’ve ever had to do, and there are so many characters I would love to have included – and I’m sure there will be many others to hit the screen in the future which will somehow wheedle their way into the top ten. I’d be interested to know people’s thoughts on my list, and to hear what people would have in their own top ten! So please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section.
